Sincesummer 2007, Dark Shrimp and I had a project, we wanted to make a live based on tracks we both would have composed.

On November, 24th 2007, the live was scheduled : we would play at Dark Shrimp’s in Paris at the end of December.

It would have been without audience, entirely recorded with a camcorder.

However, problems began, some days before, I called Dark Shrimp, telling him that I wouldn’t be able to bring my Roland JP8000, about the day of the concert we had planned, that wasn’t possible anymore to meet : we had to delay the live.

So, at the end of December, we were both on our computers when an idea came : a virtual live.

The live would be divided in 8 tracks, 4 by Dark Shrimp and 4 by myself. The original composer of the track would record a video and an audio of him playing live the track and would give it afterwards to the other person who would play on it, still live. The title of the concert ? Virtual Rendez-Vous.

As a result, on January, 2^nd 2008, recordings began. During 3 days, we recorded our parts and once everyone had played a track, I was making the final video.

Difficulties began : lack of time because of huge problems with the synch of the video track and the audio track (because of that, Dark Shrimp had to compose the Outro), Dark Shrimp was having problems with the recordings of Revenge Of The Shrimp which is a very hard track to play live, I don’t count the number of time he told me « okay, an other take… ».
